The Fresh IR 64 Rice is the most popular Non Basmati rice exported from India. It is prepared taking extra care. The Paddy is soaked in water, boiled/steamed and then dried. After these processes, paddy is in ready state and is then taken for milling. As a result, people get a rice which is known as parboiled. In addition to its high yield, early maturity and disease resistance, it had excellent cooking quality, matching that of the best varieties available. It has intermediate amylose content and gelatinization temperature, and good taste. The Fresh IR 64 Rice is very delicious and useful.
